(Sunday 3/9/2008)  OK, it's 61 days until we sail.  I'll be updating the schedule and this page soon.  In the meantime, here's my idea of winter sailing in Erie!

(9/20/2007)  Wednesday JAM Race:  Crew:  AJ, Dave H, Judy, Ben, Steve.  We recovered from a cluster at the starting line in which I had to push off Aquasition, so we did a 720-degree penalty turn.  So, 6th place isn't so bad after that start.   Though the air was light, it was a beautiful evening for sailing, and we kept moving for the whole race.  Afterwards Kim and Matt joined us for meat, cheese and crackers.  Welcome back, Kim!

That's my last Wednesday race for the season.  Thanks to all who sailed with us this year -- overall, it was a great learning season!  Next and final race will be the Reverse Handicap.

(9/15/2007)  Bluff Bar:  Red Herring did not sail in the BB Race.  All of our valiant crew showed up (Steve, Ken, Ben and Dave), but at 5:45, it was blowing 18-22 in the bay and it had started raining again.  We decided not to go.  -- AND, now that we mention it, nobody sailed -- there was no Bluff Bar Race this year.

Sun June 10 9AM Bay SPIN Spring Series #2 (Rescheduled) Y No Race  Building wind, but committee decided not to start the race.
Wed June 13 7PM Bay JAM Hilbrich Electric Summer #1 of 3 Y No Race  Dying air.  No B, C nor D boats finished in the two-hour time limit.
Thur June 14 7PM Bay SPIN Spring Series #2 (Rescheduled -- again) Y 4th  Finally -- 10-12kts of wind, and we sailed well.
Fri Jun15 7PM Bay Special Bort Insurance-- Regatta de la Femme #1 Y 4th  Our LaFemme crew sailed well.
Sun June 17 11AM Bay JAM Hilbrich Electric Summer #2 of 3 Y 9th  10-15kts and very puffy.

Sat June 23 TBA Lake SPIN Interclub -- Erie Triangle Y No Wind -- No Race Bummer.
Sun  June 24 TBA Lake SPIN Interclub -- Erie to Port Dover Y DNF Wind died before Long Point.  No one finished in any class.
Mon June 25 TBA Lake SPIN Interclub -- Dover Triangle Y 10th Chute went up with 4-foot rip in it.
Tue June 26 TBA Lake SPIN Interclub -- Dover to Port Colborne Y 5th This is where we probably should be in this fleet.
Wed June 27 TBA Lake SPIN Interclub -- Colborne to Point Abino Y 9th 15-25 knot winds.  A little too much for us.
Thurs June 28 TBA Lake SPIN Interclub -- Buffalo Triangle N DNC On the way home to Erie.

Sat Aug 11 7AM Lake SPIN Koehler Cup to Ashtabula (plus Saturday layover) Y DNF Wind was too light at the start for us.  Had to motor about mid-day.
Sun Aug 12 8AM Lake SPIN Koehler Cup to Erie Y 4th A decent ride home in 8-12 knots of breeze.
